Why Product Management Has Students Hooked—And Why I'm Intrigued Too
Exploring the appeal of product management from a CS student perspective...
Read MoreI am a student studying Computer Science and minoring in Informatics at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. I am passionate about using technology for social good, and combining it with my interests in security, fintech, artificial intelligence, and data modeling.
Some of my hobbies are:
Feb 2025 - Present
Currently working on the AI/ML team! More details to come soon!
June 2024 - August 2024
As a SWE intern at William Blair, I led a data engineering project within the Strategic Resources Group to automate and optimize a data pipeline connecting Egencia to the company’s employee database. Using Microsoft Azure, Synapse, and Python, I developed scripts to filter and process data, replacing the error-prone manual model. Leveraging DevOps, I deployed the automated pipeline into production and delivered comprehensive reports via Power BI for employees and clients.

As Executive Manager for Illinois Enactus, I led technical and logistical efforts for two impactful projects. For Jila!, I served as Backend Lead, developing an end-to-end application using MongoDB, React, Flask, and AWS to reduce language barriers for Q’anjob’al-speaking immigrants by enabling video translations. For Her World!, I directed a team of developers and UX designers to build a game using Unity, Blender, and Figma, empowering girls to develop spatial visualization skills. Both projects enhanced my expertise in full-stack development, cloud services, and cross-functional team leadership.
Feb 2024 - December 2024
I developed AI-driven solutions for client-oriented businesses, including Jinship and Powerbox. At Jinship, I built a Large Language Model with Llama and Mistral to tag and categorize scholarships, implemented a chatbot for user queries, and designed the app’s UI with React Native and TypeScript. At Powerbox, I am creating a backend database to integrate the company’s energy model using VectorAI and Google Cloud Platform, enabling accurate predictions of energy costs and utilization. These projects enhanced my expertise in AI, full-stack development, and cloud-based solutions.
September 2023 - Present
As an undergraduate researcher at the Illinois Security and Privacy Lab, I collaborate with graduate students to analyze the privacy of end-to-end encrypted messaging platforms. I set up a wireless hotspot using a mini-computer and Ubuntu, connected two phones, and collected data from apps like Element, Signal, and WhatsApp. Using Wireshark and MITM Proxy, I analyzed packet lengths, HTTP protocols, and message timing to assess the feasibility of third-party tracking between communicating devices. This project strengthened my expertise in network analysis and privacy research.
June 2023 - August 2023
As an Information Technology Intern at NJCCIC, I analyzed key threat actors and security attacks targeting New Jersey’s public and private sectors. I conducted demos on SQL injections, man-in-the-middle, and DDoS attacks, providing detailed prevention documentation. For my final project, I assessed a threat actor impacting small businesses by stealing financial and confidential data and presented my findings to officials from NJ Homeland Security and the U.S. Department of State, enhancing my expertise in cybersecurity and threat analysis.
Under the guidance of Professor Shabani at New York University, I explored the concept of Quantum Money, a secure, forgery-proof currency system based on quantum mechanics.
Impact: Designed and implemented a quantum money simulator using Qiskit, enabling users to securely transfer quantum notes and prevent third-party interference in private-sector quantum schemes.
Technologies: Python, Qiskit, IBM Quantum Simulation, Quantum Key Distribution, Quantum Circuit Simulation
